Maria Sangder, Gaia’s CEO, will explain the philosophy behind susformation. Maria is excited that we are finally living in a time where we have the momentum to change our ways to be more sustainable. As an experienced strategist, she believes sustainability is first and foremost an opportunity for organizations and that all organizations will go through a susformation – a sustainable transformation. In susformation, Maria roots for co-operation rather than competition creating connections and opportunities across organisational borders.

In addition to deep diving into susformation and why it is important to talk about it, Gaia is honoured to have two inspirational leaders from organisations that not only view sustainability as a strategic issue, but have sustainability at the core of their business model.

Emmy Clothing Company’s CEO Timo Huhtamäki and Lindström Group‘s Senior Vice President, Strategy and Sustainability, Kati Pallasaho will talk about how they view sustainability and it’s role in their organisations’ strategy.

Timo Huhtamäki is the CEO of Emmy Clothing Company, the largest online second hand store in the Nordics, and a circular economy professional. Before Emmy, he was responsible for the operations of Finland’s largest C2C marketplace, Tori.fi, and served as the Chief Marketing Officer in two publicly listed companies.

Kati Pallasaho is the SVP of Strategy & Sustainability of Lindström, a 175-year-old textile rental service company from Finland. Lindström’s purpose states that we want to make our customers’ life easier and strengthen their image with textile services while helping them to become more sustainable. At the core of our business is our commitment to care for the people and our planet, based on the sustainable, circular-economy business model, we serve our customers with in 23 countries. We offer a wide range of textile services ranging from workwear, protective equipment, mats, restaurant and hotel textiles to industrial mats and towels.
