Team Arctic Finland has enlarged with new partnering organizations. The current consortium encompasses 19 companies and organizations with strong competence, leading products and services, and credible references in harsh environments.
Along with the Finnish Chairmanships in Arctic Council and Arctic Economic Council, also Team Arctic Finland operates to promote sustainable business opportunities in the Arctic. The consortium utilizes its harsh environment experience globally with selected key customers specifically in Norway, Russia, China, Japan and Canada.
The expertise of Team Arctic Finland lies in energy, mining, marine, shipping and infrastructure segments. It provides know-how in specific project contents such as offshore activities, special vessels and maritime logistics; industrial infrastructure, e.g. ports; intelligent remote and autonomous solutions; and renewables. Team Arctic’s value to clients lies in the fact that its members can together offer a wider selection of products and services and thus solve simultaneously more problems – and more challenging problems – for clients.
Gaia has been coordinating Team Arctic Finland since 2013 with the lead of our Business Director, Mr. Pekka Pokela. Gaia’s role is to facilitate the sales leads on a global level towards companies that may be challenging to reach by one single actor. The added value of Team Arctic Finland is gathering clusters of reliable Finnish companies that can put together large concepts, make propositions to big international clients and get challenging commissions in harsh environment projects, taking into account the requirements of sustainable development.
Currently Team Arctic Finland members are: ABB Marine and Ports, Aker Arctic Technology, Arctech Helsinki Shipyard, Arctia, ESL Shipping, Finnish Meteorological Institute, Lamor, Ramboll, TechnipFMC, Wärtsilä and YIT together with partnering organizations Cinia, Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, Furuno Finland, Innovationplus, Navidium, Tevo and VTT. These companies have wide expertise and references aligned with Arctic competencies and sustainable business.
