The year 2018 was important and successful for Gaia. In addition to reforming the organization, Gaia had more than 200 customers and business consulting grew strongly. In 2019, Gaia is more robust and ready for growth. Katriina Juntunen brings along particular expertise in change management. This enables Gaia to further increase the impact of its services.
In 2018, Gaia’s customer relationships clearly highlighted the importance of embedding responsibility deeply into the core of business operations. Sustainability is not just a right-thing-to-do, but a way to grow and develop business. In addition to creating strong value to customers, partners and personnel, responsibility plays an important role in financing and investment decisions.
Additionally, consultancy in climate issues increased last year. More and more businesses, cities and public institutions are searching for solutions to accurately assess what they should and can do to slow down climate change. The work on climate change has concentrated on carbon emission assessment, mitigation strategies and adaptation planning. Recently the interest in emissions compensation has increased significantly.
“Sustainable business is the way to growth and profitability. However, growth is unreachable without change leadership. In order to better help our customers on the road to sustainable business growth, we wanted to add exceptional change and growth management know-how to our board,” says Pasi Rinne, Chairman of the Board at Gaia.
“In addition to tailored sustainability and business consulting, we now offer our customers outsourcing services work and ready-made productized solutions. During the past year, we have developed sustainability and responsibility concepts that will help to rapidly accelerate business,” says Ulla Heinonen, CEO of Gaia Consulting.
Gaia’s new board member Katriina Juntunen is the CEO of Kasvuryhmä, a professional in strategy and change management, who sees that Gaia has the ability to produce high value but also has wider potential for significant growth. “In the right hands, responsibility and sustainability are real growth factors. Gaia has a tremendous story, brand and expertise. It is a pleasure to be able to take part in building Gaia into an even more impressive and bigger consulting company,” says Katriina Juntunen.
