Gaia Group’s Annual General Meeting has elected three new members to the company’s Board of Directors. Pauli Aalto-Setälä, Nina Sarén and Kaisa Hietala strengthen the 360 degree approach to sustainability that Gaia is known of.
“2019 made Gaia larger and stronger. Building a cleaner and safer world is probably more important than ever. Sustainability is everything but out of fashion, and demand for business-critical sustainability consultancy is bigger than ever,” says Pasi Rinne, chairman of the board.
Gaia’s new board members are Pauli Aalto-Setälä, Nina Sarén and Kaisa Hietala. Pauli Aalto-Setälä brings in strong expertise in leadership development, communications and marketing. “As Gaia helps to make sustainable business a better business, professional services of Gaia will require growing skills in creativity, digitalization and communication,” says Pauli Aalto-Setälä.
Nina Sarén has extensive experience of leading business and growth on different sectors. “I believe that sustainability creates long-term strategic growth. I’m excited about the insight and the concrete means Gaia provides its clients as sustainable business promoter. My experiences from the public sector, from a listed company as well as from our family-business bring in a wide range of expertise, and harnessing it to Gaia’s use is motivating and meaningful. I am so happy to be qualified to this incredible team!” says Nina Sarén.
“As we welcome our new board members, at the same time I want to extend our paramount thanks to Erkki Izarra, Laura Ylimäki and Mari Hjelt for their strong contribution to developing Gaia in past years on the Board of Directors. And I’m very delighted that all of us we will continue working together,“ says Rinne.
Alongside with new members Juha Vanhanen, Pekka Samuelson, Katriina Juntunen and Pasi Rinne will continue on the board.
