An updated brand to reflect an updated strategy

At Nefco, our task is to accelerate the shift to green globally. We do this by financing the initial scale-up of Nordic environmental and climate-friendly solutions in international markets. To reach our goals, we have to be able to engage our key stakeholders: small and medium-sized Nordic companies, as well as Nordic decision-makers, politicians and civil servants.

We were in the process of updating our strategy and our brand when we realised we needed professional help, and ended up choosing Gaia. We started with a full stakeholder analysis, which was very illuminating. Even the process was quite eye-opening, as we worked remotely on a platform called Howspace. It was even better and more creative than being in the same room and writing ideas on Post-It notes!

We realised we didn’t need to go wild with our strategy, only focus it a bit, and make certain that the brand and the messaging reflected that. Internally, people have been very enthusiastic about the new Nefco brand and feel that it reflects our strategic goals very well. We will celebrate our 30th anniversary at an online seminar on 18 March, and for most of our stakeholders that will be the first sneak peek into our new look. I am very optimistic that it will also be the beginning of a very successful era for Nefco and our plan of taking Nordic green solutions global.
