“After having my dissertation on applied mathematics in Helsinki University of Technology, now Aalto University, I spent a couple of years developing multiphysics simulation tools in a small company. Boy that was cool.

However, I wanted to try something completely different and hopped into Gaia in 2002 – and have stayed here ever since doing risk management and evaluation, the lesser-known side of Gaia.

I keep on learning new things. Sometimes it is difficult but it really keeps me going. Also coaching our young talented staff and helping them succeed makes my day.”
