Gaia celebrates its 20th birthday in 2013. The past two decades have been a successful journey: Gaia has helped numerous corporations, international organizations as well as private and public institutions around the world to operate in a more sustainable and more responsible way. In short, Gaia has helped its clients to make the world cleaner and safer.
When Gaia was founded 20 years ago, environment, energy efficiency and climate were considered issues that merely helped companies build their brand. Today, they are an important, integrated part of operations as well as strategic and everyday decisions at any respectable organization.
“Sustainability is no longer just ‘green’ political issues. Today it’s about profitable investments, creating new jobs and being financially sound,” says Chairman of the Board Pasi Rinne from Gaia.
During the past 20 years Gaia has worked with 600 clients in more than 1000 projects all over the world, from Eastern China to the Pacific Coast of the United States and from Southern Africa to the Arctic. The company offers local solutions to global challenges.
“When all the information, experience and wisdom of the past 20 years is combined with the new enthusiasm and support for sustainability, it’s safe to say that the next 20 years will be a time of sheer action.
