The Pohjalainen newspaper writes about Gaia’s report on the prerequisites and the permit process for a Gigafactory in Vaasa. The aim of the project is to attract a significant international corporation to establish a factory producing lithium-based batteries in the Vaasa region.
According to Gaia’s Chairman of the Board Pasi Rinne, the Vaasa region is excellently positioned to win the factory, partly thanks to timely action from all participants.
“There are many issues related to a factory of this kind. We have to have exact and timely information on the location of the factory, on necessary zoning and permits, and on what the processes and criteria for the permits are.”
