Gaia and other leading experts of Baltic Sea protection provide solutions and inspiration for a cleaner and safer Baltic Sea in Helsinki.
The Open Europeans in Olympic Sailing Classes are held in Helsinki, Finland, June 29–July 15, 2011. More than 1000 top sailors of the world and tens of thousands of spectators are expected to the pinnacle event in the Northern Hemisphere summer. Gaia is one of the partners of the Baltic Sea Pavilion – a café, terrace and information center combining the Baltic Sea, design and sailing in a unique way.
Gaia has carried out several successful projects for the benefit of the Baltic Sea, from organising high-level workshops and accomplishing in-depth policy analyses to developing water and waste management strategies and carbon policies.

The Baltic Sea Pavilion is created and operated by SavetheC. It is built of sea containers and recycled sails, and 10% of all sales in the design store is donated to the Baltic Sea protection. The pavilion is open daily 30 June–15 July at 11–20 in Hernesaari, Helsinki.
