Presenting two new faces at Gaia

Gaia is pleased to welcome Anna-Elina Vilén and June Park who also joined our rank of experts in January.

 

Assistant Consultant Anna-Elina Vilén specializes in life cycle assessment, carbon footprint, and water and wastewater treatment. She is waiting to receive her master’s degree in Water and Environmental Engineering at Aalto University. She wrote her thesis for HSY, which addressed the environmental impact of activated carbon used in water treatment. Anna-Elina has also worked for the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, where her work concentrated on development and testing of energy metering and billing system for railways in Finland. Through her work at Gaia, Anna-Elina wants to help clients navigate the complexities of sustainability with science-backed and quantifiable solutions.  

 

Graphic Designer June Park is a recent graduate of Aalto University, where she finished the degree of Master of Arts in Collaborative and Industrial Design in December. She has most recently worked for the City of Helsinki in digital service design, carrying out customer research to understand the needs of international families in basic education. At Gaia June designs and develops graphic communications and data visualisation in Gaia’s communication channels and customer projects. Her motivation to join Gaia was to make societal impact through design, improving the lives and people and planet. Her expertise lies in human-centred design, systems thinking, interaction design, branding and illustration.
